RIP Smalls

Smalls went to spend time with Chicago up in Heaven today.  The poor baby didn't have a long life, but I like to think he had a happy life for the time he was with us.

When we brought him home, we noticed a large laceration on the back of his head.  We treated him for that issue and it did have to be lanced and drained a few times as well during the process.  While dealing with that, we noticed he was also losing fur in weird patches. 

We are still not sure what was causing all the issues, just that his little body couldn't handle it.  We miss him dearly every day.  I miss my catot (cat parrot).

Jerry Lee

Who ever said dogs don't have personalities has never met my dog Jerry Lee.  He is a German Shepherd coon dog mix and weighs in at about 80 pounds roughly. 

He is named after the dog in the movie K9 with Jim Belushi and boy does he have a similar personality.

Trunk or Treat 10 27 2019

The community here in Tennessee really takes care of the children.  Many of the churches in the area have what they call Trunk or Treats.  Local people set up their vehicles and kids trick or treat from one vehicle trunk to the next. 

This local church also set up bounce houses, food, and a magic show.

Burning Transformer

So with pops and sparks, we had an interesting evening.  One involving no electricity and thus no *gulp* internet.

Of course, no electricity or internet leads to boredom and so I went in search of what was actually happening and found......a transformer on fire.

Visiting with Nana Karen Nashville Day Trip

My mom arrived in Nashville for a girls weekend with her sisters-in-law.  While she was close by, Skye and I took a trip into Nashville to spend some time with her. 

While we were there, my mom gave Skye her birthday gift and enjoyed spending a bit of time with her.
