Shoulder Update

I am officially done with physical therapy, but not because I am 100%.  It is because there isn't anything else they can help me with.

I have my flexibility and range of motion back and as much of my strength as they can help me with, but the pain is the same as before and my arm still gives out at times.

Since this video was filmed, I have been back to the orthopedist for a follow up.  They took xrays and checked my shoulder.

According to them, I need to continue to work the muscles, but there are no issues showing up in the xrays and structurally everything looked good (based on the xrays).  So at this point, the issues I am having are just what it is, it is.  I will continue to work my muscles and build up more strength on my own and hope that my collar bone cooperates eventually.

Crazy Bad Storm

The weather here in Tennessee is definitely different than it was in Indiana.

For one, there is no way in the world I would be running my air conditioner starting in March if I was still back in Indiana.  I am also grateful that it is not as cold in Tennessee than it is in Indiana in the winter.  I don't miss needing 2 and 3 layers of clothes and extra socks in snow boots just for a trip to the corner to get milk from the gas station.

One thing I am not sure I like here is the amount of rain they get.  I am not talking small little rain storms, though we get them here too, we seem to get big bad storms.  Thankfully, we are in a higher elevation where I am at, but we still deal with flooding more than snow days.

DIY Cleaning Wipes

In this video, I make 2 types of cleaning wipes.  The first one is strictly for cleaning and contains no bleach.

1/2 roll of paper towels
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1 tsp dish soap
5 to 10 drops essential oil (optional)

Combine the ingredients.  Put the paper towels into a container.  Pour the liquid over it and let it sit for a few minutes before removing the cardboard tube in the center.  Keep covered when not in use.

The second one uses bleach and is considered disinfecting.  That means  you still have to clean it first but the disinfecting wipes can then kill germs.

1/4  cup bleach of choice
2 1/4 cups water

Combine and follow the directions above.

I also added about 10 drops of orange essential oil to this recipe as well to help it smell better.  This is totally optional but I am not a fan of the smell of bleach.

These recipes can be doubled or halved depending on the size of your paper towel or the container you are using.

Cat Bed Again

I'm not sure if I should start to take this personal or not.  Are my cats saying I'm wide enough to be a bed?

They seem to like laying on me anyway.

It happened again here:

Father's Day Shirts

Father's day was a little crazy in our apartment, I mean with moving everything from Indiana just a few short weeks before that, so I didn't have much time to get these made.

I didn't record the process, I'm sorry, but I did want to share the shirts I made.

Cleaning My Cricut Boards

I won't lie, this was much easier to do than I had anticipated.

What I used:

dish soap
scrubby sponge
dish scraper
water

I put each of the cricut boards into my kitchen sink.  I used my dish scraper on each of them scraping off as much of the hair and gunk as I could.

From here, I then drizzled each of them with dish soap and scrubbed them well using the scrubby side of my kitchen sponge.

I rinsed the soap off well and hung the boards up to dry.

Luckily, when my boards were dry, they were sticky enough for my purposes.  If they weren't, I was going to give them a coat of adhesive spray.
