Deer Spotting

 While we live in a pretty decent size town, we are along the outskirts of it.  That means that there are still a decent about of wild life.

This morning, I dropped Skye off at school and saw these beauties along the side of the road.

Petunia & the Curled Tail

 Petunia was named for her curled tail.  It reminded us of a pig's tale.  

So her full name is Petunia Pig.  It fit well since my grandmother was a big fan of pigs so naming her Petunia was 2 fold.  Reminded me of my departed grandmother and fit her personality as well.

Skye & Orion Makeup Time

 Siblings fight, bicker, argue, and love each other.  I try to remember that when they are being mean to each other.  So when they were all getting along, I had to have proof. 

Mind you, it didn't last long.  It never does and anyone who has a sibling knows exactly what I am talking about.

Kitten Update 10 17 2020

 Meet Chunk.  

That is what we decided to name the spunky little surprise kitten.  It fit for a boy or a girl, we were thinking originally that she was a boy, but now we know she is a girl.

She is so spunky and funny.

Atomic Cake Major Fail

 Atomic Cake.  What in the world is that?  I am pretty sure that is the nice version of what I said or thought when I asked what the Big Guys favorite cake was.

After doing some searching, I found it was a triple layer cake.  The cake layers are banana, yellow, and chocolate.  It has fresh strawberries, fresh bananas, custard and fudge.  The entire cake is then frosted with sweetened whipped cream.  

The Big Guy likes his with a cheesecake layer instead of the chocolate cake layer.  Boy, did it not go right when I attempted it at home.  Mind you, this was the 2nd time I tried to make it, with pretty much the same messy results.  

Never fear, I will conquer this cake.  It may take a few more tries to get it figured out right though.

 Boy, were we surprised to find a new kitten on our couch that morning.
