Dissolving Packing Peanuts

 In this months Mighty Fix box, they sent packing peanuts with a note saying the peanuts were biodegradable and would dissolve in water.

Well, you know I just had to check that out and see for myself if they really were dissolvable.

Mighty Fix

 This months Mighty Fix is here.  

I did choose this one.  I prefer using glass spray bottles because I use essential oils in many of my cleaners.  Some essential oils will degrade plastic bottles and over time the bottle will leak, or even get small holes in them.  The glass bottle prevents that issue.

Update on Chunk

 Chunk has so much personality.  She loves sitting on my shoulder or on the Big Guys shoulder.

She is still too little to get on the table by herself.  Before you say anything, the table is where we keep the cat food dispenser so the dogs don't eat it when they are out.  They are assholes too.

Anyway, She can get down from the table, but hasn't figured out how to get up there yet.  When she is desperate for our attention, she will climb up my leg (hopefully I am wearing pants at the time) and up my back.

Zenni Optical Review

 Here in Tennessee I haven't had to get new glasses yet, but I still knew I didn't want to spend and arm and a leg on them.

My cousin was telling another relative about where she orders her glasses and I ran with it.

I entered my prescription from the eye doctor and chose my glasses.  I added whatever features I wanted, including a clip on sunglass.  Then blinked twice at the total.  For my glasses, including the sunglass clip, I paid less than $30 total.  

They have a good selection of glasses with a wide range of prices and features.

Disappearing Snow

 It is not a case for Sherlock Holmes to solve, that's for sure.

Snow in Tennessee

 One of the things I enjoy about Tennessee since I moved here is that there really isn't what I am used to as a winter here.  

I still have all of my winter gear, I haven't wanted to get rid of it just in case, but I haven't had to pull it out yet in the 2 1/2 years since I moved here.  Sometimes I do need gloves.  Especially first thing in the morning, but that is about it.

So I was not sure how to feel when it started snowing here.  At first, it was very light, then got a little heavier.  Still nothing compared to the snow back in Indiana though.

Decorating for Christmas

Over the years, I have usually stuck to the tradition of putting up my Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving.  This year is no different.

Skye helped me put the ornaments on after I had the tree up and lights in place.

Sewing DIY Curlers

 Skye saw a video where someone was using aluminum foil to make curlers for her hair.  

She was going through a lot of aluminum foil so I did a little research myself and found a post on Pinterest for sewing curlers.
