Waverly still giggles all the time. I find it very cute and can never resist recording her when she is doing it.
I hope her giggles help lighten your day and bring you at least a small amount of joy.

Waverly is very interested in everything. This includes looking at mirrors or even a mirror image of herself.
She thinks its another baby and doesn't quite realize that she is looking at herself in the mirror or on my phone.
She loves "talking to the baby" which is reflected in the phone or mirror.

I got my Taste of Home Box for Winter 2022. I can't wait to try out the gadgets that came in the box.
As a matter of fact, Skye already raided the box to use one of the gadgets. I think she was a little more excited to use the gadget than I expected her to be, but she has taken an interest in cooking lately.
I am also looking forward to going through the recipes in the box too including the new cookbook.

We are at the pediatrician's office for Waverly's 9-month check-up. We always have to wait at least a few minutes for the doctor to come in so Skye put her blanket on the floor and let her crawl around while we waited.
Waverly weighed in at 17 pounds and a few ounces on this appointment.

OMG....Waverly is now 9 months old. I can't believe time has gone by so quickly. It seems like she was born just yesterday.
Come Spring Waverly will be a year old.
She is already gotten her first two teeth, figured out how to remove her diaper by herself, has started saying a few words, shaking her head No.
Soon she will be walking and talking.

My stepson's quilt is finally complete.
I will give it to him at Christmas when I see him at the Big Guy's mom's house. With the apartment still waiting for renovations, the kids haven't had anywhere to sleep at our apartment right now. This means we haven't had the kids at our apartment since they started remodeling the complex.

Baby girl is growing way too fast. Now she is pulling herself up, I call it her latest trick.
Since Waverly isn't very tall yet, we haven't had to lower her crib mattress. Though I don't think it will be too long before we will need to do this. Preferably before she figures out how to get out of the crib on her own.

I have completed quilting all of the rows at this point and have combined the first three rows together. I will be working on completing the joining of the remaining 6 rows of the quilt, in 3 rows groups. After the three groups of three rows together, I will then connect the three sections together.
After that, I will be working on binding the quilt using the excess fabric left over from the backing material. I made strips of the left over backing fabric and connected all of the strips together. I did have excess fabric left over when I was finished binding the quilt, so I will use that to bind another quilt as long as I have enough for it.
I did decided to rag the back side of the quilt, since that was just one solid piece for each row. I felt that will give it the option of being reversible, though ragging isn't required for that. I thought it gave the back side of the quilt a little bit of character giving the fabric was a solid color (I used fabric from Keepsake Quilting and it was a black water color fabric that was 108" wide).

Day 3 of working on my stepson's quilt. I have completed all the rows and I am going to quilt each row before connecting the rows together.
I decided to quilt each row individually because I just don't have the space (considering how tornado like our apartment is because of the remodeling) to quilt this all as one big quilt. I made the quilt to be approximately the size of a queen size bed so that the quilt is a good size for my stepson. I will be making my two stepdaughter's quilts the same size and Skye's will be a king size quilt because she has a king size bed at this time.
I decided to make the quilts for my stepchildren at a queen size because as of right now, I am not sure what size their beds are at their mom's house and I wanted them to be a good size for each of the kids. I have already said that if they get bigger beds down the road, I will make them a new quilt or make them new quilts for their own beds when ever they move out of their mom's house (I thought this was a good way to go for them now since they are all still at home).

Little Miss Waverly is now crawling all over the place and has started to pull herself up.
She is definitely getting quicker and quicker at crawling, though sometimes she crawls in a funny manner. I watched her crawl to me one day and swear she was trying to stand up at the same time that she was crawling.
