Since moving to Tennessee, I don't often get to spend time with my family, since they are still back in Indiana and Illinois. I was very happy that my mom and stepfather came down to Nashville for a visit.
We spent time walking around downtown
Nashville, but my favorite spot was Dick's restaurant, where food is served with sarcasm. I loved it. It was a blast. I didn't take any videos, out of respect for everyone else's privacy, but I did take many pictures.
Anybody who knows me, knows I am not a big fan of winter. It's not the cold that I hate, or even the snow. I've seen many beautiful country scenes created from snow on trees and the ground.
What I dislike about winter is the mess. I grew up in the Chicago Land area of Illinois and late spent many years in Indiana. Winter is a part of life and there was no avoiding it. That meant for months on end, we were tracking in snow, leaving wet boots or snow gear, and dragging that wetness through the house. And that's just what I drag in. Then it's the kids and the animals. The dog goes out, tracks through the snow then brings some of that back inside with him. The kid then does the same. It seems like a never-ending cycle of mopping up nasty wetness. Yuck. That's what I hate about winter and one of the reasons I am enjoying Tennessee life.
We don't get much snow down here. It is February and I leave my apartment most days without a coat on. This video shows all the snow we have gotten so far this year. So I got my pretty but didn't have the mess.
If you are not familiar with Funyuns, they are onion-flavored chips in the shape of a ring. They are chips that have been around as far back as I can remember. However, I do not know if they are available around the world or not.
They are one of my favorite chips but they do have the tendency to make the roof of your mouth sore, at least for me they do if I eat more than a few.
I'm not sure why it is so amusing when younger babies, under 2 anyway, are very cute when they tell you no, but boy as they get older it is not so cute.
See little miss now that she has figured out how to say no.
