DIY Burp Cloths

We have found that the Spit Up Queen visits us regardless of whether Waverly is burped or not.  However, when she does spit up, there are times when it is a lot.

So I made her some burp cloths.

I used flannel for the front and back and sandwiched a layer of diaper fabric between the flannel to help with absorbency.  I cut the burp cloths 10 inches wide and 20 inches long to try to cover as much shoulder as possible during burping.

I placed the two pieces of flannel together, pretty sides touching with the diaper cloth on top.  I stitched all the way around, back stitching at the beginning and end, and left an opening to turn the burp cloths right side out.  Then I top stitched around them again, making sure I caught the opening during the top stitching to secure them closed.

These are nice and soft on the skin because of the flannel and the diaper fabric adds to the amount the cloths can soak up.

See ya soon!
